Uncle David and Eagle River

Uncle David came to visit from San Antonio.  Harrison had fun telling him about all his favorite toys at Grandma and Grandpa's house.
Uncle David added to Harrison's toy collection with a xylaphone!  Yes, isn't that what the mother of every 3 year old wants their child to have???  Of course...he loves it!
Harrison and Grandpa started a family band..."Grandpa and the Rockin Fitzie's"!
Friday we headed to Wisconsin for a fun filled weekend!  We stopped in Waussau, Wisconsin to watch some Kayak races.
Then is was off to the Kelly Cabin in Eagle River, Wisconsin!  Here he is just looking cool in the boat!
Harrison got a turn to drive the boat...he just wanted to go faster!
Whitney Kelly took her first turn at the wheel (with a little help from her daddy James)!
Matt and Whitney had a little dance party!
Harrison guided Whitney through lots of "firsts" this weekend...her first corn on the cob!

Another first for Whitney...S'mores!  Harrison was happy to show her how it is done...3 times!  (He REALLY likes them!)

 Whitney is a fan too!
My good college friend Chrissy with her kids Whitney and Max.  We had a little trouble getting all 3 kids to look at the camera at the same time.
SUCH a fun weekend!  Even though we had an almost 5 hour drive each way...H was a champ!  He didn't even ask to watch a movie.  He just talked the whole way!  We played games like "Is this animal from Wisconsin or Africa?"  (Note...Harrison insists Hippos are native to Wisconsin!)  The only small glitch in the driving were the 5 bathroom stops...a few false alarms but no accidents!

Shrimp Boil and the Hanson Cabin

Thursday night we had the Hoffman and the Larson's over for a shrimp boil.  Matt was in charge of this fun meal and did a great job!

Although the kids had chicken nuggets instead, they thought the shrimp boil looked like a lot of fun and I think most of them would try it next time.  All of them were happy to try the DQ treats though!  H loved playing with the big kids!

Friday morning we headed up to the Hanson cabin in Danbury, Wisconsin.  We happen to stop for a little break at the world's largest walleye!
Harrison couldn't wait to get into the water and play! H and Maggie were an equal match on the teeter-totter.
He was all ready to drive the boat!
He loved that Bella the dog came on the boat!
The evening brought a bike ride and walk.  We borrowed a bike from our neighbor Nora since the one we have for H is a little too big.  Looks like we might have to get his one of his own!
The kids made up their own game of bocce ball.  Luke would roll the balls down the hill and Maggie and H would go get them.  The perfect pre-bedtime activity!

On Saturday we headed over the the Webb Lake Carnival.  Of course H had to check out the fire truck!

 He also rode a pony!
They had some fun little game with really valuable prizes...bubbles, plastic rings, tattoos...

Sunday brought out the fishing poles!
 They actually caught some fish!
We wrapped up the weekend with jumping on the water trampoline!
Chris and Matt went out the chaperon the water trampoline...lots of quality parenting out there!

A very fun weekend at the Hansons!

In the news...

Harrison loves a good display of trucks so of course he couldn't miss Wayzata Library's Truck Day!  He even made the local online paper.

Several cities around us have "Vehicle Fairs" coming up in September/October...expect lots of pictures of H driving and climbing on various modes of transportation and rescue!

Summer fun continues...

The Seefeldt Family hosted their annual Bonfire party on Friday night.  Harrison would have partied all night and was upset when we made him leave at 10:30.

He enjoyed many treats and decided the toy chain saw made a great chair!
The kids all lined up to watch the grown ups light the fire.
 FINALLY!  The fire begins!
Below are some pictures from a few weeks ago.  Even though it was 100 degrees, we braved the heat to go to the Raspberry Day Parade in Hopkins.  Grandma and Grandpa Olmem also went to the parade.

We drank plenty of water to stay cool.
B
The parade started off with fire trucks sounding their horns.  A little to loud for H!

Some floats gave out freeze pops...I think Harrison had 4 of them!

By the end of the parade, Harrison took his shirt off to stay cool.  Despite the heat, the kids were still able to gather lots of candy!

Neighborhood Night Out!

I really wished I had my camera last night.  We went tubing down the Minnehaha Creek with my cousin Jenny and her girls, Anna (9) and Natalie (4).  We all had such a great time!  Harrison loved it!  No pics so you will have to take my word for it.

The Copperfield neighborhood celebrated National Night Out with a BBQ and potluck by the pond.  It was a beautiful night to get together!

Harrison loved playing tag with the big kids!

When it was time to eat, of course he had to sit by his buddy Jack.
A fire truck stopped by for a visit.  Everyone climbed on board.  Nora, Jack, and Harrison all got to drive the truck.

 Lots of yummy food!
A city snow plowed also stopped by for visit.
We are lucky to have such great neighbors!  A very fun night!
