An ounce of prevention...

Thanks to Harrison's slightly obsessive mother, he got the H1N1 vaccination today. I wouldn't say I stalked our doctor's office for it...I would just say I "checked frequently" to see if they had it.

Harrison let out a cry when they stuck him but was quickly calmed thanks to some Teddy Grahams that I brought for him. Sometimes it helps to have a kid motivated by food! Don't let the picture fool you, he wasn't upset when it was taken...the remainer of the Teddy Grahams were on the bench next to him and he was focused on them instead of the camera! (A special thanks to Grandma and Grandpa Lichty who played cab driver to Harrison so he could get his shot today.)
On Tuesday night, we had a surprise dinner guest...Grandpa Terry was in town and stopped to play with Harrison for a bit!

Weekend Fun!

We took a walk to the park on Saturday. It is a bit further than the park in our old neighborhood (OK, a lot futher) but it has a really cool playground!

Even though we took the stroller on the walk, Harrison decided to carpool with dad on the way home...
Harrison had a "Guest Reader" for bedtime on Saturday. Our good friends Denise and Craig were over for dinner and Denise read Harrison his bedtime stories. (Harrison's parents then had a very fun dinner with them!)

Sunday brought a Viking's loss but it also brought over Cousins Maddy and Reilly. Harrison always has fun with them. He is looking forward to his newest baby boy cousin due in just 2 weeks!

Busy weekend...

Harrison had a busy weekend! We were at the McConnell's on Saturday to celebrate Nora's 4th birthday! Harrison had a great time playing with all the kids (and all the toys).

Can you find Harrison amonst the toys and kids in the picture below???
Harrison did get a little cake...he would have eaten a whole piece himself if we let him.Luckily the McConnell's have a very friendly dog named Sydney because Harrison REALLY likes dogs! (And NO! We are NEVER getting a dog!)
Our good friend Ellen Hynes (aka E-Hy) came over to play with Harrison on Sunday so we could get some yard work done. Harrison was really excited to see her (as were we)!
I think Harrison is getting used to having nebulizing treatments, now he just goes over and grabs the mask on his own!

Snip, Snip!

So we finally broke down and got Harrison a haircut tonight. I have been holding off because I thought he would officially become a "little boy" once he got one. I put my reservations aside and we took him to Kids Hair and he was a champ!

He didn't really like the hair dryer but still sat there quietly. He was such a good boy, we got him a new truck from the kids store next door to Kid's Hair.
We did still have a little bit of time tonight to play our favorite game....peek a boo!

Story Time.

Harrison is obsessed with books. He likes to look at them himself but loves when people read to him. This weekend, Grandma and Grandpa Olmem were easy targets whenever Harrison decided it was story time.

New Things!

Harrison has settled right into the new house and doing lots of new things!

He likes his new room but his dad really wants to get it repainted SOON!

He really likes his new playroom (and so do we!)

He has met some of the other kids in the neighborhood.
He is also learning to eat with utensils. At least he holds the spoon while he shovels food in with his hands.
