60 Years of Dorothy Young's Island!

We headed up to the Gunflint Trail to celebrate the 60th anniversary of my grandparents buying the island on Poplar Lake.  It was the kids first visit to the island.  On the way up, we stopped to do a little hiking.

Grandma Nancy was very excited to have the kids at the cabin.  (I think she noticed Matt and I were there too but not sure.)
Quinn wasn't quite sure about the boat and the life jacket.

12 members of the Young family representing 4 generation made it to the gathering.  Families from around the lake all came over to celebrate at the open house (or should I say open cabin).  It was fun to hear all the stories!

Grandpa Terry had a little cuddle time with Q!
Harrison has a great time with his cousin Janaya (I think they are 3rd or 4th cousins but not sure...).  Janaya was also a HUGE help with Baby Q!
No cabin trip would be complete without S'mores!

The little lady!

Miss Quinn joined Grandma Nancy and mommy for a pedicure on Saturday.  She didn't get her toes painted this time but enjoyed the outing!

I had a little phone session with our little rolley-polely girl!  She is rolling all over now!  At night, we put her down on her back but she always rolls herself to her stomach.  She has also started sitting up this week...where is the time going???

Mommy Love!

It was the perfect day to celebrate being a mom!  75 and sunny!  After the boys made a pancake breakfast, we headed for a walk around Lake Calhoun.

Grandma and Grandpa Lichty came over for a shrimp boil along with Auntie Suzanne!

No summer meal would be complete with some ice cream....root beer floats tonight!
Miss Q just took it all in...
On a side note, Q had a little playdate with her nannyshare pal Audra...so fun watching these girls grow!

We are on a roll!

Finally, Quinn has started to roll over!  She has been rocking back and forth for quite a while and now has rolled over 3 times in the last 2 days.  Of course tonight when I grabbed the camera she was just going to her side but you get the idea!

We also dug out the exersaucer and Q is loving it!

Sunday was Neighborhood Clean Up Day!  Harrison was quick to help day clean out the pond.

Quinn did her part too...she sat there and looked cute while I weeded a flowerbed.  (She wasn't much help guiding me as to what was a week and what was a flower.  Pretty sure I took out some flowers...)
