Memorial Weekend Adventures

We started out the weekend having a bbq with a couple neighbors. Harrison had a blast hanging with his buddy Jack and his new friends Caroline and Charlotte. Matt and I had fun with their parents.

Harrison loves to do "Cheers!"
Harrison and Caroline made dinner in his play kitchen. (They also had dinner on the patio.)
Wagon rides were in high demand. Jack and Harrison took multiple trips in the two seater.

Saturday we had a low key, family day. We went to Wayzata beach for a while to check out the boats and the trains.
Sunday the Seefeldt Family was nice enough invite us and the Hatlestad family out on a boat on Lake Minnetonka. Luckily the weather held out and we all had blast. Harrison did so well despite not having a nap. (He went to bed at 6:45 that night.)

Matt Seefeldt let each of the kids take turns driving....even Harrison!

The kiddos hanging out up top.

Daddy and son enjoying their refreshing beverages! Even though the water was cold, Harrison loved it. His lips were blue and he was fighting us to come out of it.

Book Worm!

Harrison has always loved books. He was particularly intrigued by Grandpa Terry's book this weekend. I was a little surprise since it didn't have any pictures and the topic seemed a bit dry.

On another note, Harrison wants to send a big "Welcome to the World" greeting to Luke Christopher Hanson who was born last week. H is excited to show you the ropes!

Green Thumb!

It was a BEAUTIFUL Saturday so we spent part of the day doing some much need yard maintenance. Harrison, of course, wanted to help. (Please note...I did not make him wear that hat, he insisted on it.)

First he help me pull weeds.

He then decided that daddy didn't do a very good job mowing so it needed to be done again.

Action Packed Weekend!

Wow! An action packed weekend for Harrison!

Saturday morning we had our last ECFE class. We started these classes when Harrison was just 3 months old. There are 4 kids that have been in all the classes together. It has been fun watching the kids grow and we have met some great friends too! (We tried to get a group picture but it didn't really work that well plus H's buddy Aubrey was missing.)

Auntie Suzanne was going to a prom so we stopped by to see the group all dressed up. Unfortunately, Harrison had just woken up from a nap so he was not really in the mood for pictures. Suzanne looked so nice though so I put a picture up anyway!
We also made a visit over to see Grandma Grace and Auntie DeDe. Harrison had fun being the center of attention!
Sunday was the ideal Mother's Day for me! I had breakfast with my boys and then we went on a bike ride to a new park. Harrison had fun checking out the great equipment. We did experience our first nose bleed though. H fell while running on the sidewalk. I think he may have some tough looking bruises tomorrow.
Harrison did get some new golf clubs from his daddy. I think he would sleep with them if he could!
We wrapped up the great day with dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Lichty and Suzanne.

I got the best Mother's Day gift EVER...a picture painted by Harrison! I think he continues to show signs of artistic genius!

Party Animal!

I have been terrible about taking pictures lately but it doesn't mean Harrison's social life has slowed down. This weekend started off with a 40th birthday celebration for Mike Hoffman. The weather was cool but we all had a great time at the BBQ. Harrison took after his father and was on the dance floor (which was the family room) with all the ladies (6 year old's Emma and Sydney) until 10:00. Too bad I don't have any pictures because he was pretty cute.

Saturday we went to a Kentucky Derby party at the Grussings. They go all out and even though our horses didn't win, we still had fun.

(Harrison is in the middle of this picture sitting on Matt's lap. )
Saturday evening, Harrison entertained our friends the Aamodt's with his dance moves and "cheers" with the glasses. Denise and Craig were in town for the Wells Fargo Half Marathon and staying with us for the night. Matt and I snuck over to a neighborhood party and Denise and Craig were nice enough to babysit Harrison for a few hours. (Yes, we put our house guests to work! In our defense, they had to rest up for the race the next day.) On Sunday, we got up bright and early to go cheer our friends in the Wells Fargo half marathon. Everyone did a great and Harrison did well clapping for all the runners. It only took 2 packs of fruit snacks and a granola bar for him to remain happy.
Side note...Harrison wants to send a belated "shout out" to his newest playmate Whitney Ann Kelly! Although she is only 2 weeks old, he can already tell that she is going to be a looker and wants to make sure he has an inside track.
