Say it isn't so....

It has be an incredible 12 weeks but tomorrow I head back to work.    I am sad to leave sweet Quinn but know she is in good hands with Grandma Nancy this week.  My leave started a little abruptly but it turned out to be an amazing 12 weeks getting to know our little girl!

Happy Birthday Auntie!

Harrison was delighted to help with Auntie Suzannae (and Erik) a very happy birthday twice!  The first was a celebration prior to Grandma and Grandpa Lichty's departure to warmer weather. Quinn was watching closely for what to do.  I bet by next year, she'll be helping to blow out the candles too!
One more celebration the night before the actual day.
Happy birthday Auntie!!!

Llama, Llama!

Harrison and I had a little "Mommy/Fitz Day" today.  We went to lunch and then to Stages Children's Theater for the show "Llama, Llama in the Red Pajamas".  It was Harrison's first play and he did pretty well.  It was 50 minutes long which was just about the right length.

These pictures are not the best because they were taken on my phone.  After the show, the cast was out in the lobby for pictures.

A very fun day!

Back to Normal

We seem to slowly be settling into our "new normal" family routine.  Everyone seems to be sleeping and eating well.  I am sure when I go back to work on the 25th things will probably change so I am enjoying it while it lasts!

The weekend brought some fun visitors!  The Hatlestad family came over for dinner and playtime.  Lincoln and Grayson were excited to hold and even feed Quinn.  Matt kept a close eye on those older boys playing closely with his daughter.  No worries though...they were quick to go play cars and watch a movie with Harrison.
Sunday was our monthly dinner with the cousins.  Matt's cousin Katie and I were due 3 days apart but Katie made it close to her due date (actually Olivia Kathleen was born on Quinn's due date of December 7th).  Such fun to have girls so close together! (Q is the one on the left.)

Despite unseasonably warm weather, the pond in our 'hood has been a hot spot for all the neighborhood boys.  Matt and some of the other dads have been clearing it off for skating and hockey games.  Harrison is steadily improving his skating abilities.
The picture below make H look a little lonely on the ice but there were other people outside the shot.

Our big girl! (Literally!)

Hard to believe that Quinlan and I were able to go outside for a walk today!  It was 45 degrees.  Quinlan was all bundled and I worked up a bit of a sweat!

In other Quinlan news...She had her 2 month check up this week.  She now weighs in at 10 lbs 11 oz, a nice doubling of her weight.  The doctor was so impressed that she removed Quinn from her extra calorie enhancement diet.  Typically babies born 5 week early stay on the diet for 6 months or so...not our little girl!  She went from the 2-3% tile to the 50%th percentile for weight, 10% for height, and 25th for head.  She is a healthy girl!

One bonus bit of baby news...we got our first smiles this week!  I haven't been able to capture on film yet but will try to soon!

Farewell to 2011

The Lichty Family hit the party circuit for New Year's Eve this year.  Quinlan wore her party dress from Auntie Suzanne!
We did not get any pics from our first part stop but Harrison had a blast at the Otos house particularly in the bouncy castle they had in their garage!  We then headed over to the Swenson house for some adult beverages and conversation and kid playtime and movie.  It was a sweet sight to walk downstairs and see how the kids all assembled themselves without any adults.
Harrison was no fool, he cuddled up next to Olivia Swenson.
A great time was had by all but Harrison didn't quite make it to midnight.  Happy New Year!
