Wrapping up...

A catch up post with some random pics.

Harrison wrapped up his year of Stepping Stones! He loved it and we are so excited that he is going back there again next year!  He grew  so much between September and June...physically, socially, intellectually...it was great year!

First day of school...
Last day of school...
Baseball wrapped up with a trip to a Twins game. The kids got to go down on the field prior to the game.
Harrison was really proud of his baseball trophy!
We spent this past weekend up we were up in Duluth. Quinn had some cuddle time with Grandpa!

Down on the farm...

The Lichty Family left the big city to visit our good friends Craig and Denise in Cottonwood, MN (pop. 1200). Craig and Denise live "in town" but Craig's brother lives on a big farm. Even though it was raining, the kids loved it!

The poor chickens...Quinn would chase them.  I think they were happy to see her head home!

Summer time fun

It was FINALLY nice for one of Harrison's tball games! It is fun to see how these guys have improved.

Our third baseman!
Quinn will tolerate watching the game for so long...then she looks for something else to entertain her.

Harrison likes tball but truthfully, the snacks afterwards is his favorite part.  :)
Quinn continues to struggle with some minor illnesses...the pneumonia and strep throat were the latest. UHG!  After getting is all cleared up, she was a new person! She LOVES to be outside!

Harrison and I met a friend and her daughters for a walk around the lake and lunch.  We originally thought about going to Noodles for lunch but surprisingly, the kids agreed to go for sushi!  They ate some sushi and some pot stickers with chopsticks!

Kick off to summer!

Even though the weather is struggling to get to summer time temps, we kicked off summer with a Memorial Day BBQ!  We kind of put it together last minute when we decided to stay in town for the weekend...turns out, a lot of people were also sticking around.  The kids had a blast playing games...everything from bean bags to flashlight tag.

We were missing a few kids but got as many as we could...fun group!

Quinn is 18 months! (and 20 days...)

Our sassy girl had her 18 month check up.  After being at the doctor's office 20 times (no joke...20 times) over the winter with her being sick, it was nice to go in to find out how healthy she is!
Quinn is 75-90% across the board.  26 lbs and 33 inches. Her ears are looking good and other than her sassy attitude, she's just perfect!
After our doctor's visit, we went to help out at our annual neighborhood clean up.  Quinn and her buddy Grace were quite the gardeners helping us out!
Finally a semi nice morning to hit the Farmer's Market!  Daddy and H love the corn...Quinn and I hit the lemonade.  Apparently we need to explain what sharing means!

Harrison had a HUGE milestone this weekend...he rode his bike without training wheels!  We tried it last summer but just didn't click.  This summer, he did it on his first try!  I will get a picture up soon!  SO PROUD!

Mother's Day Joy!

I am soooo lucky to be a mom to these two kiddos!  We had such a great day! Harrison came running in this morning and said "HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!"  He presented me with a card he had made and some other treasures. Throughout the day he would come and give me hugs and telling me how much he loved me and happy mother's day.  Such a sweet boy!  We celebrated with the best group of mothers I know... My mom, my Aunt DeDe, my Aunt Lois, and other family members.  (Unfortunately Matt's mom was sick so we have to do a raincheck with her.)  The bbq was topped off with ice cream cake.

Quinn REALLY liked the ice cream cake!

Earlier this week, Harrison started T-ball. Quite comical watching 4 and 5 year olds playing T-Ball.  Luckily they have great coaches who are just focused o everyone having fun.

April Snow Showers Brings May Snow Showers?

We have been trying to make the best of  REALLY cold and snowy spring.  The snow is finally gone but is was taking a while for the temps to warm up.  The kids didn't care about the temps though, they just want to be outside.  Q is loving the swing set but also to run after the kids on their bikes.  The neighbors are going to have to get used to see me walking with a kicking and screaming Quinn under my arm.  It is difficult to get her to go inside!

Some spring flowers were able to sprout up this weekend.  Harrison and Quinn brought some home for me from Grandma and Grandpa's house.
Matt and Harrison went to a Kentucky Derby party.  H loved getting his face painted like a jockey.
