Harrison Lichty 2.0!

Happy Birthday Harrison! Hard to believe Harrison is 2 years old. He had a great birthday!

I took the day off so we started the morning off with a family breakfast of blueberry pancakes and smoothies before heading a huge playground.

After a long power nap, Harrison was up and ready to party! The Grandmas were of course on hand to celebrate Harrison's 2nd year!

And Auntie Suzanne never misses chance to spoil Harrison with gifts and love!

We had just a few friends over for a bbq and birthday festivities. Harrison had his buddies Maggie and T to share some laughs over burgers, fruit, and milk.

After a good dinner....it was time for presents!!! Maggie and T were very patient and helpful with the gift opening. They were good friends despite it being very difficult at that age!
Harrison knew just what to do with the gifts...he tore into them. (But he was pretty good about saying thank you after each one...with some gentle reminders.)

He particularly liked the singing card he got from Auntie Suzanne.

Uncle Andy sent some new wheels for him to cruise around the neighborhood! (Harrison will have to remind him on his 16th birthday to send him some new wheels too!)
Next it was time for cake! Harrison and his buddies (Jack, Thomas, and Maggie) all piled into his new picnic table that he got from Grandpa Terry and Grandma Nancy.

Harrison knew just what to do with the candles and the song. Unfortunately, I accidently put the relighting candles on the cake instead of regular ones. He had to blow them out several times.

Harrison couldn't wait for everyone to get done before playing with his new toys. He grabs his fishing pole from Grandpa and Grandma Lichty and started fishing in the backyard. (He didn't catch much.)
The driveway made the prefect spot for a parade of kids and for playing with his new truck! What a difference a year makes!

Harrison on is first birthday!

Playdate!

Harrison and I met a group of new and old friends for a big playdate at a park. Harrison finally got to meet Baby Whitney, who is visitng from Chicago. He is already smitten!

Whitney's only competition was the play equipment. He was also playing the field a little bit with a friendly flirt with Nora! He thought he would dig his shades.

Celebrating Independence!

Harrison had a couple of adventures before the holiday weekend.

There was a train derailment in downtown Wayzata so we took Harrison down to see all the big cranes and diggers clean up the mess. (Side note, it may be a little weird we are smiling and have our toddler at a crash site but it should be noted that there were no injuries or serious damage.)

He also went downtown to have lunch with Auntie Suzanne! His birthday month was kicked off by a gift from Cousins Natalie and Anna...a new train set!

Harrison had a fun Fourth of July weekend! We went up to the Swenson's lake place for two days of fun in the sun!
There were 12 kids and 8 adults but everyone slept and got along well! Even on Sunday morning when it was raining, everyone waited patiently for the sun to come out. (And it did!)
Harrison loved the boats and the jet skis! Again! Again! He and Evan had a great time playing in the sand, with the trucks, swimming, and boating!

The pictures looks a bit cloudy but it was actually a sunny haze. Harrison likes fishing!Thank you Swenson-Lee family for a great weekend!
After a good night's sleep back home on Sunday night,
we took advantage of the 3 day weekend and went to the Como Zoo with The Flynn Family. The boys obviously thought they were old enough to go by themselves.
On our way out of the zoo, we stop off at "Como Town" for a ride on the train.
