Harrison and I spent the weekend in DC visiting family. H has been very into history, particularly the presidents so this visit was very exciting!
On Saturday, we drove out to a second branch of the Air and Space Museum call Udvar-Hazey. The highlight there was one of the retired space shuttles.
Next we checked out the Battle of Bull Run.A stop at the Jefferson Memorial on the way home. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom but didn't get a good picture of it.
So fun to see cousin Beatrix! She was happy to show H her favorite bakery!
Sunday was "Lincoln Day"...starting off at the Lincoln Memorial.
Then we toured Ford's Theater and the house were Lincoln died.
Our cousin Beth works at Folger's Shakespeare Theater in DC. We were lucky enough to be there for the big event celebrating Shakespeare's 451 birthday! Lots of fun stuff like making shields.
In the theater they had a display on Longitude that included "Harrison Time Keepers"
Of course a little dress up...
But the best part was the cake!
Quick stop at Iwo Jima memorial and Arlington.
The finale was watching Star Wars!
