Kicking off 2014

I might be the world's worst blogger.  I think about doing it a lot but it is usually at night and I opt to go to sleep instead.  Don't think our lack of posts means the Lichty's have been sitting around quietly!

Harrison continues loosing teeth.  Each lost tooth make his look just a little bit older...which makes me just a little sad particularly because he is loosing them on the early side.  He, of course, is so excited when one is loose.  The Tooth Fairy has been bringing a $2 bill and a $1 bill.

Q continues to add spice to our life. Her fashionista tendencies are in full force.  She was stuck home with pnemonia yet insisted the her sparkly sweater dress was the right outfit for the day.

Harrison loves Superheros, Legos, and sports.  He LOVES his superman shirt and his Vikings jersey.

As has been reported, H has become a passion this winter.  It is amazing how the kids have all improved.  Half of them couldn't skate on the first day and last week they played a game between periods at the high school game!
Fitz and one of his teachers, Miss Jessica, made Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox out of Legos.  Pretty impressive!
Unfortunately, Q's ear tubes fell out in November and she had 4 back to back ear infections (and a pneumonia). Last week, she got a new set of tubes and her adenoids out.  The girl is a trooper! Her recovery was pretty quick.  One day of chilling which mommy and movies and she was back to her sassy ways!

Harrison and Mommy went to a Chinese New Year party and cooked dinner via a hot pot. The boy's eating habits never cease to amaze me!  He tried everything...he liked everything except the Lobster balls. He ate shrimp, dumplings, fish, tea, mushrooms, pork, fried rice....he even ate with chop sticks!
It has been a COLD start to 2014!  School has been canceled 3 times due to windchills and air temps in the -20's and it looks like it might be cancelled 2 more days next week.  Daddy and the kids have done a good job of keeping busy.  Lots of Wii snowboarding, baseball, and dance competitions.  They do art projects, legos, and keep those baby dolls in line!  (They have even cooked some new recipes!)  Hopefully it will warm up a bit in February to be able to do some outside stuff!

Another Festive Christmas!

What an amazing week celebrating with family and friends! Some of our traditions changed this year with the passing of Grandma Grace, people moving, new faces at family gatherings, and some missing. However, we still had such a great week and was sad to see it end.
I really wish I could bottle Harrison's spirit this Christmas.  He is such a believer in the magic of Christmas.  It is so fun to watch.  I think he had a smile on his face all week!

Quinn understood presents and was a big fan!

Our church had a "Create Your Nativity" Service on Christmas.  It was awesome! Kids could pick costumes and join in as they read the story of the birth of Jesus.  Harrison decided on the way to church he really wanted to be shepherd.
Quinn wasn't sure what she wanted to be so she would join in and then run back to us.  She originally was going for angel wings but decided against them.
Can you find Harrison????

Christmas also brought visitors to Minnesota!  Cousin Natalie was here from Hawaii.  (She LOVES the snow as much as Harrison!)

Our good friends Ned and Krissy Smith were up from Houston. Their son Teddy and Q are only a couple month apart.

The Best Thanksgiving!

We were so fortunate this year to celebrate Thanksgiving with relatives from 4 states representing the all parts of our family!  Harrison came up with the idea to do a "Thanksgiving Tree". I think it will be a new family tradition!

Lots of food, drinks, and fun conversation!

 Our biggest turkey!

Uncle David brought us all shirts to honor the Fitzgerald side of the family! (Of course, Harrison thinks its great we are all honoring him!)

Happy 2nd Birthday Quinn!!!

In preparation of the birthday celebration, Q got her first haircut.  She was not very pleased about doing it but she sat there and got it done with relatively little protest.

Time to party!  Pancake breakfast with the grandparents and auntie!
Q quickly caught on to the gift opening!

A special book and puppy from the DC aunt and uncle. Love!

Tea sets, dolls, doll highchairs, play beauty set...perhaps the number of girls toys will finally equal the boy toys in our house!

 Time for cake!!!
Happy birthday to the girl who adds A LOT of spice to our life!  Love you so much!

Happy Halloween!

Harrison ranked Christmas and his birthday as his favorite days of the year but Halloween is a close 3rd!
(Don't let these pics fool you...once again, mommy did all the dirty work!

Quinn liked the costume when we first put it on but then it lasted only 2 houses.  We ditched the peacock costume and she went as a sassy 2 year old.  (She nailed the part.)

Gal Pal Nora and Harrison joined up with other neighbors kids and made quite a haul!
