House of Lichty, The Westside Edition

I know we are very delinquent in our posting...turns out moving is a lot of work! Hopefully we didn't lose our faithful followers but since I think they mostly consist grandmas, grandpas, aunts, and uncles, I am pretty confident they will stay tuned in. Here is what has happened the last two weeks...

After 10 years for Matt and 4 years for me, we moved from Vernon Avenue in St. Louis Park to Westcote Circle in Minnetonka. Although the move is bitter sweet we are exicted for this new chapter.

It should be noted that even though we moved on the first home game in the Gopher's new stadium, Harrison still showed his pride and Matt still made it to the game! The were really lucky to get a great group of people to help us move. Again THANK YOU! I didn't get any pictures of them actually moving though.Harrison was really helpful unpacking... This weekend we were settled enough to have some friends over for dinner. Harrison's best buddy Thomas came over (along with his parents) for some fun! Harrison showed off his new trick...walking!Believe it or not, Harrison has his fare share of toys but of course, the kitchen drawers are too much fun to pass up!
The best part of the night was watching the boys chase each other around. They were laughing hysterically zipping around the house! It was great entertainment to watch them. I am so excited for what they will do next!

On Sunday, the Swartzbaugh's and the Hanson's came over for brunch. Harrison was quite the ladies man with the two older girls!

One Year Pictures! (Taken a little late...)

Once again our friend Matt Seefeldt took some incredible pictures of Harrison! He is not only a great friend but he is also a great photographer! Check him out (http://seefeldtphoto.com/) or see below...pretty cute if I do say so myself! (I have a couple more but the cd with all the pictures is packed.)
( Not sure why this one is tiny.)

The last days of summer...

Even though we had a ton of packing and other things to do around the house, we did not let this beautiful holiday weekend go by with out fully enjoying it! We took at long bike ride on Sunday. Harrison loves to go on bike rides! We stopped at a park so he could play for a bit and wasn't exactly thrilled when he had to leave the park. (Once we got going again he was fine.)

We also met Nora and Reese McConnell (and their mom Lisha) at the St. Louis Park Splash Pad. Harrison was a little unsure at first but quickly realized how much fun it could be!

Our neighbor Ellen Hynes (aka E-Hy) came along too!

Mover and Shaker!

Harrison thinks all the new boxes for climbing are really fun! He doesn't know why some say "fragile" and that means he shouldn't jump on them. One of his new favorite spot to play is under the table. I think he is pretending the legs are horses and he rides them.
Finally, he thinks he is ready for the open road with his little Fred Flinstone-mobile.

Family Weekend!

Harrison had a VERY busy weekend! Uncle Andy, Uncle Matt, Aunt Callie, Cousin Noland, Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Terry were all in town! We had a ton of fun with everyone but are very tired tonight!
Harrison LOVES playing with his cousin Noland. Noland isn't as fond of playing with Harrison...probably because Harrison's version of playing involves going to take any toy that Noland has in his hand. I think we might need to work on sharing...
On Saturday, we hosted a party for Matt and Callie for Minnesota friends and family that could not make it down to St. Louis for the wedding. It was a fun day! (About 40 degrees cooler than their actual wedding day.)
We tried to take a picture with the four boys who are all the great grandchildren of my grandma and her sister. In case anyone is wondering, it is a bit challenging to get a 1 year old, an 18 month old, a 2 year old and an 7 year old to all be seated and smiling for a picture.
So we ended up with just one of Harrison and Colin...at least we go one cute photo!I can only image what words of advice Uncle Andy was giving to Harrison!
Harrison took a liking to the bean bag toss. Looks like he'll bring home more $ than his dad from playing bags with the guys! Auntie Suzanne was there to cheer Harrison along. (Please note Harrison standing! He stands and takes a few steps now but then drops down to crawl so he can move faster...he's got places to go!) Harrison thought since we were all distracted he could sneak out of the party.
Little did he know that Aunt Callie was quick enough to get him!
My cousin Adam thought Harrison's Noah's Ark was fun once Harrison showed him how it worked. Harrison also showed Grandpa Terry how it worked too...you put the shapes in the boat...over and over and over...

Home at last!

Harrison spent the last 4 days with Grandma Nancy and Grandpa Terry up in Duluth while Matt went camping with his dad. I missed my boys and am happy they are home with me where they should be!!! The pictures below are from last weekend but thought I would share them anyway.

All the single ladies...

Our good friends Jorn and Stacie Pung were in Minnesota visiting from DC and brought their sweet girls over to play for the day. Harrison loves the ladies! Stacie and I have been friends since 1st grade so it is so much fun to see our kids playing together!
Kailyn and Harrison went cruising in the wagon down to the local park.
Harrison decided to try some of his moves on Lauren...
Harrison might be too aggressive for her...We had to hold him back!
