The celebration continues!

This weekend brought Uncle Andy for a visit so we thought we would do a late family birthday for Harrison.  He was soooooo excited for his birthday to continue!
Auntie Suzanne built a special bear named "Fitz" for the birthday boy.
He was very excited to get his super soakers!  Watch out world!
Some presents will be put away until he is a little older but he got a Swiss army knife engraved with his name straight from Switzerland.
Harrison couldn't wait to play with his new toys.  He tried out his t-ball set from Uncle Andy.

He'll now be cruising the mean streets of Copperfield Place on his new Scooter!
He insisted he put his helmet on for safety and got Cousin Alex to put on some roller blades to keep up with him.
 One final birthday cake!

Friday night we spend with our cousins from Hawaii.  Harrison had fun catching up with Anna and Natalie.
He also really liked Saddie...Uncle Tim and Auntie Lois' new dog!

Happy 3rd Birthday!!!

It is so hard to believe that Harrison turned 3 on Friday!  We started off the day with Dr. Carlson and his 3 year check up.  Since he didn't get shots, we didn't think it was too mean to make him go to the doctor that day.  She did give him 3 stickers.  He is a healthy boy.  Passed all the tests and is 75% for weight and 50-75% of height.
Perhaps he found his calling as a doctor???
We decided Harrison's birthday was a great excuse to have a summer BBQ complete with jumping castle...only problem was it was POURING rain on that day.  After a quick call to the rental place, we were able to get "the boxing ring" jumper that thankfully fit in our garage.  Plan B worked out!  Harrison was SOOOOO excited when he woke up from his nap to find a jumping castle in the garage!

Grandpa Mike turned his world upside down!
 Lots of fun jumping!
Even the little kids got in on the action.
Kids were forced to take a break for dinner.

The only reason the kids agreed to eat dinner is because they wanted cake!

Caleb and Parker Stephens showed us a new type of face paint...frosting!
Thomas Flynn turned Harrison into Super Harrison...his own cape with an "H"!

 Thanks T!
Hugs all around for the birthday boy.  Here he is getting some love from Maggie Hanson.
 A neighborhood kid jump!
Although we stressed no gifts...no one listened to us.  We didn't open them until the next morning since the kids were in the jumper until 9:30.
 Hockey gloves!!!

What a fun birthday for Harrison and for Mom and Dad!  A quick look back at the past 3 birthdays!

Staying cool...

Our air conditioner was out this weekend so we spent most of the 90+ degrees day avoiding our house.

We hit the pool with Thomas and Olivia

.
Harrison talked daddy into ride the water slide quite a few times.  They got their work-out climbing the stairs.

A lot of splashing time in the pool.  (Luckily Michael Flynn was a good sport about it!)
H didn't forget about Baby Olivia.  He did warn us that "Babies sink, hold onto her."

Sunday evening we celebrated Reese McConnell's 4th birthday!

Of course Harrison could hardly wait for the cake!!!
Or maybe it was just the frosting he wanted.
In other news...we are happy to report that, after a rough first day,  Harrison aced potty training!  In the last two weeks, Harrison has had only a couple accidents.  Matt is calling himself "The Potty Whisperer".   I am just happy this milestone is behind us!

Celebrating Independence!

Although 3 year olds celebrate "independence" everyday, we celebrated America's Independence Day with the Swensons and Seefeldts on Big Marine Lake.  I think the expressions below say it all!

Of the 36 hours we were at the lake...Harrison spent about 20 of them in the water.  We loved the jet ski!

Fortunately we had chicken to grill for dinner since these two didn't catch much.

We had the tough job of life guarding on the beach.

Matt got in on a little bit of the water sport action.
The evening brought out some tired kids and a little sun burn.  After part of a movie, it was lights out for everyone!

When he wasn't in the water, he liked testing out the race car.

Harrison had the all American Hot Dog dinner on the 4th!
