Many Blessings!

Quinlan Grace was baptized on August 29th.  We were lucky that Pastor Kalland from Mount Olivet was available was able to accommodate our non-traditional time for the baptism.  It was small group but it was a very special ceremony.  Quinn did great!

We were very excited that the Aunt DeDe and Uncle Brian were able to join us for the ceremony and dinner!

The DC Uncle and Auntie Suzanne are the proud God Parents!

 A fun dinner...followed!

Harrison was happy to help Quinn with the gifts.

Grandma, Grandpa, and Uncle took H out to the state fair!

Last weekend, Harrison and I joined Grandma and Grandpa on a trip down to St. Louis for Uncle Matt's graduation.
Congratulations Uncle Matt!
The highlight of the trip was seeing cousin Noland!  The boys went running towards each other with open arms and almost fell over hugging when they first saw each other!  While in STL, we checked out their Science Museum.  The boys got Grandma Nancy to go in the tornado simulator with them!

Movie time!

Lots and lots of swimming!

Cousins and buddies!

More Cabin Fun!

Harrison capped out his summer cabin tour with a trip to the Lichty cabin!  H enjoyed a lot of fun water activities!

He also enjoyed nightly fires (and marshmallows) with Auntie Suzanne and Grandma!
Harrison got home from the cabin in time for his soccer practice.  He loved it!

Miss Quinn wanted to get out on the field with her brother!
Last Sunday we celebrated Grandma & Grandpa Lichty's 45th wedding anniversary!

Uncle David was in town from Texan all week to enjoy the festivities!  He brought the kids gifts from all his travels!

News Worthy Events

We had a rainy Saturday morning a few weeks ago and Harrison and I took his first trip to a movie theater to see Ice Age 3 (or maybe it was 4, not sure since I haven't seen the first ones!)  We went with his buddy Jack and his mom.  The boys did great and Harrison can't wait to see his next flix!
We had a beautiful night to celebrate National Night Out!  Our neighbor Leah is a newscaster and her station did a live shot at our gathering!  The kids were SOOOOO excited!

Harrison never misses a chance to go on a fire truck...especially when it visits the neighborhood!
We headed up to the Hanson's cabin for some R&R this weekend.  A relaxing weekend for all!
I think Harrison and Maggie spent about 10 hour outside!
 Best buds!
On the 2 hour drive home, we witnessed one of the sweetest big brother moments.  I so wish I could have recorded it.  We were still a half hour from home when Quinn started crying.  I said to Harrison "H, make Quinn laugh."  He started singing "Rock a bye baby, don't you cry, mommy's going to buy you a mocking bird.   If the mocking bird don't shine, you'll rock a bye".  (He did his one little mash up of lullabies!)  AMAZINGLY...Quinn stopped crying!

Speaking of Miss Quinn...she is a girl on the move!   She is into everything and insists on feeding herself.  I think we are going to have our hands full with this one!

Olympic Weekend!

Harrison has a fun day out with Grandma Ann which included a visit with "TC Bear".
Friday night, Harrison helped Jack McCambridge celebrate his 4th birthday at the Hopkins Fire Department!  A dream for 4 year olds!!!

Everyone got to take a ride or two on the fire truck!

Nora helped Quinn get in the celebrating mood!

Sunday the Lichty Family headed down to the Stone Arch bridge for a little walk and biking.  Of course we couldn't pass up the ice cream truck!

Our family has been pretty into the Olympics.  Harrison gets excited to watch all the different sports and then we find all the countries on the map.  Quinn is paying her tribute to the Olympics by eating "Cheerios"!  (Although with her teeth...she could eat a steak!)
