Halloween Festivities!

We kicked off our Halloween celebration with some pumpkin carving!
Such a boy...H loved the icky stuff inside!
Daddy and Harrison planned out the face.

Mommy came in to do the real work!

Harrison and Grandpa did their best jack-o-lantern impressions!
Sunday, Thomas Flynn had a Costume Party!
When they put the blindfold on Harrison he said "But I can't see...how can I put the the nose on the pumpkin."

 Time for dinner!
Monday, Harrison jumped out of bed with a smile....all ready for the big day!  He had a great time at his daycare party. When he got home, it was torture to just look at the bowl of candy we had for the trick or treaters.
 Time for the costume!

We stopped pick up Jack aka "Spiderman" to hit the mean streets of the Copperfield neighborhood!
And they are off to get the goods!
They met up with their best gal pal Nora aka "Dorothy" and her brother DarthVador.
Time to check out the candy haul!  Lots of yummy treats!

Hello Baby Audra!

While the Vikings played host to the Packers, Harrison played host to a special visitor...Baby Audra McKenna!  Audra is 6 weeks old now but was born 7 weeks early.  She is doing great though and Harrison is a big fan!

Let's just hope his fondness for babies continues once there is a new one in his house!

Fall fun!

In case you don't know, October is fire prevention month and we are suckers for a good fire department open house!  Last week we went to one in Minnetonka and one in Hopkins!

The weather was perfect for the first open house!
Such fun to have our neighbor friends at the open house as well!

Nora and Harrison doing their best silly face.

 Flying a helicopter!
It was a little cooler later in the week but Harrison LOVED being able to ride in a fire truck!

Sunday, Grandma and Grandpa Olmem were in town and we headed out to Fall Harvest farm.
I am happy to report, no goats were harmed while we were visiting the farm!
Harrison liked taking the tractor ride and running in the corn.  (Unfortunately, I saw the movie "Children of the Corn" at a young age thanks to my older brother and have never really felt comfortable when near a cornfield!)

We got to bring home some popping corn.

Finally Harrison picked out 3 pumpkins: one for him to carve, one for the baby, and one for Grandma Grace!

A great week of fall activities!

The State of Hockey...

Even though it was over 80 degrees, Harrison started his skating lessons on Saturday.  He was very excited!  Nora McConnell was also in his class.
The coaches at the Parade Arena "Learn to Skate" program.  H loved them all!
Harrison spent most of the time falling and getting back up but he was not discouraged!  He is already asking when we get to back to skating!

Bulldogs and Birthday

We headed up to Duluth this weekend.  The weather was the perfect fall weekend!

Saturday we joined the Hynes family for some tailgating and the UMD football game.  Their son Greg plays for the Bulldogs.  H didn't stay for the game but had fun with the tailgating and playing with E-Hy!

Saturday Harrison headed to the museums with Grandma and Grandpa!  He insisted on wearing his backpack for the train museum.

In between museums they stopped for lunch and a little treat!
 On to the boat museum!

Sunday we went to a corn maze!
Grandpa and H checked out the course before we headed out to explore the maze!

After the maze, we checked out the corn gun!

Finally Harrison doesn't let a birthday go by without celebrating it!  It was grandpa's turn this weekend!
