Gobble, Gobble!

Harrison's Thanksgiving had all the necessary elements...lots of food, family, and football. He especially liked the sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, and green beans.
He loved having both sets of Grandparents, his Uncle Andy, Aunt Suzanna, Eric, Great Grandma Grace, and the Westerbergs all in one place! Needless to say, he did not lack for attention all day!
Auntie DeDe's homemade pumpkin pie was the biggest hit! Hopefully the triptafan will kick in tonight and he'll sleep extra late tomorrow morning!

Paging Dr. Harrison, Paging Dr. Harrison

Well, Harrison didn't make it very long into the cold and flu season before having a bout with his asthma. It all started with a runny nose on Saturday. Sunday night, he pretty much cried all night because he was so uncomfortable. Monday morning we brought him into our clinic and his oxygen level were pretty low. SOOOO, we spent Tuesday night at the U of M Children's Hospital again.

It was a pretty rough day at first for the little guy (we thought best not to take pictures of him while he wasn't feeling so hot) but after a few breathing treatments and a couple of doses of steroids, he was ready to go...and go...and go...and go..One of the side effects of the steroids is hyper-activity. We made good use of all the toy rooms!

Grandma and Grandpa Lichty came for dinner...luckily Harrison didn't lose his appetite!
Harrison had a really hard time going to sleep even though he had been up for most of the previous 24 hours. He didn't like the monitors on his foot and I think he was a little scared in the big crib. Matt and I switched off actually sleeping in the crib with him. At least Harrison got some sleep!
We are home now and our little guy is on the mend! I think his time at the hospital will further his desire to become a doctor.

Boys will be boys...

Matt was gone this weekend so my mom came down to having some quality bonding time with me. We read books, went for walks, played outside, played in the basement...oh wait, that is all the stuff she did with Harrison. I think she was vaguely aware I was here too. (Just kidding mom, thanks for all your help!)When Matt got home on Sunday afternoon, he decided to take advantage of the nice weather to finish up some of the yard projects. Harrison decided he needed to help... Needless to say, we did end the day with a bath...

Happy Birthday Daddy and Grandpa!

Dual birthday celebration for the Lichty's in November...Matt and Grandpa Lichty!

Harrison really wanted to grab the candle and couldn't quite figure out how to blow it out...
He really liked delivering the gifts!

T Time!

So about this time last year, we took a baby class though our local school district. It was at these classes Harrison met his buddy Thomas (aka T). We happen to like his parents so let the friendship progress. It is pretty funny watching the two interact. T's mom Megan is much better about having her camera ready so I stole some pictures from her.

Surprisingly, Harrison did look up from his food to take a picture.

Megan and I took T and H to a Baby Yoga class. I am not sure H will be welcomed back in the class. He liked to push the truck around and make car noises when he wasn't tackling me while I was doing the downward dog...

It will be fun to watch these guys grow up together!

Wednesday Fun Days!

Grandma and Grandpa Lichty take care of Harrison every Wednesday. I always wonder why Harrison comes home so tired on Wednesdays but after looking at their pictures...I now know why! They do lots of fun things like a reading class at the library, the apple orchard, pumpkin patch, the zoo...the list goes on and on! They were kind enough to document everything so Matt and I don't miss a moment.
Harrison is wondering why he can't hear the librarian reading the book...

Obviously he wants to make sure Grandma doesn't miss something at the zoo!

I now know why there was corn in his pockets....
If he can't have a puppy then certainly a goat is also out of the question.

All similar round physiques...
Hmmmm....there does seem to be a trend in the afternoon treat!

All Treats!

Our little Dragon had a very busy but fun Halloween!
Our friends Aaron and Krista had an afternoon gathering with all the kids. I wish I would have tried to get a picture with everyone in their costumes because they were all so cute!

We were supposed to get together with a couple families in the neighborhood to go trick or treating but the H1N1 bug struck several of the kids so we ventured out alone. It was fun to meet more of our new neighbors. We even met a boy who is just 2 weeks younger than Harrison! SOOO excited that Harrison will have a little buddy nearby!
We, I mean Harrison, got lots of candy! We let him sample a cocoa rice cripsy bar...much to his delight!
To cap off our day, we went over to Chris and Tracie's house. Harrison went over in his pajamas since 1. It was about bedtime 2. His costume didn't fit in the carseat 3. He had just enough Halloween by that time. The Miller's were at Hanson's with their little Peacock Isla so we tried to get a picture with Isla, Maggie, and Harrison but for some reason it was challenging. I am sure it wasn't because it was 8:00....

I just had to show off the pumpkin shaped cheese ball I made....
